What The Client Wanted
The team at Just Spray Network were recently contacted by the owner of the Lidl Distribution Warehouse in Peterborough, who is a repeat client of ours. They were in need of a on site spraying on the warehouse’s window flashings as they were the incorrect colour.
Project Scope
Project Prep
The main goal of this project was for the window flashings to be resprayed in the correct colour so to ensure that our team could do this, we visited ahead of the project starting date to take samples. The colour sample taken from the site was then used to perfectly colour match the client’s desired shade.
Along with taking samples, our initial site survey also included an assessment of the area that we would be working on. This helps us to determine whether we will need to bring any additional access or health and safety equipment. In this instance, as the window flashings were above our reach, we concluded that a scissor lift would be necessary.
Carrying out the project
On the day of the project, the Just Spray Network team attended the site at a time that best worked with the warehouse’s daily schedule. They then set up the scissor lift safely and could begin masking the area that required respraying. All of our operatives are IPAF 3A, and 3B certified as standard, which gives clients peace of mind that teams are fully qualified to operate all powered access equipment, including the scissor lift used during this project.
Once the areas surrounding the window flashings were masked, which is a key preparation step used to ensure the windows themselves and cladding panels are not damaged with paint, we could move onto commercial spraying. The flashings were sprayed in a modern light grey, which complemented the darker shade used for the exterior of the building.
